FAW Tier two league formed in 1990

The FAW have chosen two Huws Gray Alliance grounds to host two very important cup games

The 2017/18 FAW Trophy Final between Rhos Aelwyd and Conwy Borough will be played at the Hollingsworth Group Stadium, the home of Airbus UK Broughton.

The ground hosted the Semi-Final between Rhos and Greenfield, which the Wrexham club won 3-2 after a late winner from Scott Reeves.

Conwy meanwhile booked their place in the Final with a 3-0 win over Penydarren BGC at Aberystwyth Town’s Park Avenue.

Both sides have previously won the Trophy, Conwy back in 1982, a 1-0 win over Blaenau Ffestiniog, and Rhos in 2008, beating Corwen 4-2.

The Final will take place on Saturday 7th April, with a 14:00 kick-off. Admission to the final will be £4 for adults, and £2 for concessions.

The game will be the first part of what is sure to be a busy day of cup football in north Wales, with Connah’s Quay Nomads and Bangor City meeting in the JD Welsh Cup Semi-Final that evening at Belle Vue home of Rhyl football club
