FAW Tier two league formed in 1990
Last season 2019

Prestatyn Town

Name: Ryan Woods

Position: Goalkeeper

Date of Birth: 21/10/1990

Bio: Woods is the type of commanding goalkeeper that defenders love to have playing behind them. Strong, agile and vocal - he cemented his position as Prestatyn’s number one over the summer, after previously playing for Abergele, Llandudno Junction and a title-winning Kinmel Bay side.

Name: Scott Williams

Position: Goalkeeper

Date of Birth: 02/12/1994

Bio: Williams has returned to Prestatyn for his second stint with the club, proving himself to be a reliable backup to Ryan Woods. Primarily known for his reflex saves, he’s also had success with the reserves squad.

Name: Sam Kersh

Position: Defender

Date of Birth: 02/02/1995

Bio: Some of the qualities that make Sam Kersh such a highly sought-after defender are his physical dominance, commanding style of play, and perhaps surprising to some - his pace.

The Liverpudlian business graduate is hugely confident in his own ability, and he’s earned that right - voted sportsman of the year in highschool, before going on to spend 5 years in the United States playing high level semi-professional football for the likes of Los Angeles Golden Eagles and California State. He made the all-tournament team in the regional championships, and his coaches in LA described him as ‘a big part of the team’s defensive back line’. The 6ft3” man also played in New York, Israel and Australia before eventually finding his way to the Welsh Premier League with Aberystwyth Town FC.

Name: Dave Hayes

Position: Defender

Date of Birth: 15/01/1982

Bio: With over 200 appearances for the club at the highest level of Welsh football, Hayes rose to prominence in 2005/06 - captaining his side to an unprecedented league title which saw the Seasiders go undefeated. He went on to be a part of the team that won the Welsh Cup for the first time in the clubs history, as well as proudly captaining his side to European victory. A natural leader at the back, a great reader of the game and a colossus in both boxes - the defender has long been considered one of the best around in his position.

Name: Dan Roberts

Position: Defender

Date of Birth: 26/05/2000

Bio: The ball-playing defender was recently capped for Wales under-18's, impressing at the heart of Mark Pike's defence against the likes of Engand, Scotland, Australia and Republic of Ireland. He played a vital role in Llandudno Junction's first team from a very young age, and spent last season in the under-19's setup at WPL side Connahs Quay Nomads before joining the Seasiders in the summer. Equally as comfortable playing in a fullback position, Roberts' distribution and confidence on the ball are clear to see - and he has cemented himself as a vital part of our defensive line.

Name: Diego Alvarado

Position: Defender

Date of Birth: 25/02/1992

Bio: Having previously lined up for Rhyl, Alvarado is the kind of fullback who is equally as capable attacking as he is defending. A pacey player with an engine who loves to overlap, his left-footed crosses often cause chaos in the danger areas.

Name: Steven Douasse

Position: Defender

Date of Birth: 25/04/1995

Bio: Douasse has previously been on the books at Denton and Aberystwyth. The Mancunian can play as a left back or on either wing - and his unpredictable, skillful style of play is a nightmare to defend against.

Name: Nidian Jones

Position: Defender

Date of Birth: 01/11/1994

Bio: Jones joined Prestatyn as a relatively unknown entity from a strong Cerrigydrudion side, but quickly established himself as a key part of the back line with a string of top class performances. An injury late in pre-season frustrated the defender, but there’s no doubt he will be back stronger.

Name: Elliot Lloyd

Position: Defender

Date of Birth: 16/03/1999

Bio: The 19-year-old academy graduate made his first start for the senior team in our season opener against Airbus Broughton, lining up alongside club legend Dave Hayes and the highly-rated Sam Kersh. A frustrating injury setback means the young defender will be out of action for a period, but there’s no doubt he will be cheering from the stands with the rest of us in the meantime. Lloyd possesses an unbelievable ability to read the game in front of him for a player of his age. He plays with maturity, and relies on his positional sense and pace to intercept and play out from the back.

Name: James Jones

Position: Midfielder

Date of Birth: 04/08/1994

Bio: Much like brother Alex, James Jones is a battling midfielder who possesses leadership qualities that simply cannot be taught. Physical, vocal and hard-working - Jones has proved himself to be reliably versatile by performing well in a variety of positions.

Name: Nathanial Hulme

Position: Midfielder

Date of Birth: 26/12/1998

Bio: The engine room of any midfield, the unassuming Nathanial 'Ste' Hulme is a manager's dream - getting about the pitch with ease, not giving the opposition any time on the ball, and playing the simple pass to his teammates after doing the dirty work. A product of our famed academy, he was a title-winner with the reserves side last season, and has earned his spot in the first team through his dedication and pre-season performances. The terrier-like central man seems to be the first to every loose ball, and has a tendency to spot danger before it becomes a problem.

Name: Sam Herd

Position: Midfielder

Date of Birth: 13/07/1998

Bio: Academy product Herd loves the club, and that’s plain to see by the way he plays. It’s always endearing to the fans when a player gives everything for the badge. Sam is one of those classy midfielders with a wide variety of passes in his locker, and his ability to retain the ball and find a teammate is often jaw-dropping. Selfless in the way he plays, his ball control is second to none and he is slowly establishing himself as a leader in the middle of the park.

Name: James Hay

Position: Midfielder

Date of Birth: 13/10/1988

Bio: A big part of Leon Field and Ryan Turner’s title-winning Kinmel Bay side, Hay is a luxury midfielder that is always happy to receive the ball, turn and pass - regardless of the pressure he may be under. Strong and hard-working, he also has a keen eye for a lofted ball in-behind.

Name: Alex Jones

Position: Midfielder

Date of Birth: 04/08/1994

Bio: The team’s captain and leader, Jones is the kind of player who leads by example. Never giving less than 110%, he plays with the kind of passion and desire that fans love to see. Skillful, dogged and aggressive in the tackle - his driving runs from deep strike fear into the opposition, and he has a knack for scoring bags of goals from midfield.

Name: Aaron White

Position: Midfielder

Date of Birth: 30/04/2000

Bio: The versatile Welsh midfielder is Prestatyn through-and-through, having grown up in the town and risen through the ranks from under-13's level. Known for his close control, driving runs and tireless work ethic - White can be deployed anywhere across the midfield or forward line and is sure to make an impact. A fan favourite since his first-team debut in the 16/17 season, his natural ability and passion for the badge is clear to see.

Name: Alun Roberts

Position: Midfielder

Date of Birth: 03/11/1988

Bio: Having previously played for the likes of Conwy Borough and Llandudno, the experienced holding midfielder acts as a shield for the back four. His style of play makes the dirty work look effortless, and his passing range is key to retaining possession.

Name: Ciran Jones

Position: Midfielder

Date of Birth: 08/11/1994

Bio: Jones is another versatile midfielder, and is particularly strong in the air. A tireless worker for his team, he is strong in the tackle and adept at containing skillful opposition players.

Name: Lewis Hughes

Position: Midfielder

Date of Birth: 23/07/2001

Bio: One of the youngest players in the squad, Hughes has a footballing brain that defies his age. Possessing unbelievable close control and a keen eye for a threaded pass, there aren’t many more skillful players around than this academy graduate.

Name: Casey Faulkner

Position: Forward

Date of Birth: 04/11/1998

Bio: The first thing people notice about Faulkner is his lightning pace, which is enough to terrify defences in itself - but he has much more to his game than that. There are very few footballers that can glide across the pitch at speed with the ball appearing to be glued to their feet, but Faulkner is one of them. He is a very direct runner that will always look to beat his man, and more often than not he will successfully hurdle a challenge and continue his run. He has recently been filling in as a fullback and has done exceptionally well. Another academy product.

Name: Ian Griffiths

Position: Forward

Date of Birth: 02/01/1985

Bio: The striker returns to the Seasiders after a hugely successful first spell which saw him win the league, gain promotion and score the club’s first (and second..) ever goal in the top tier of Welsh football. Widely regarded as one of the most lethal goalscorers in the region, Griffiths’ natural finishing ability is unquestionable - and his pace, aggression, and tendency to pop up with the spectacular has struck fear into opposition defenders for years.

Name: Chris Bennett

Position: Forward

Date of Birth: 31/10/1992

Bio: Voted St Asaph’s player of the year last season, Bennett has proven himself to be a threat no matter where on the pitch he plays. A natural winger, he is direct and dangerous - and his runs in behind often cause problems for the opposition.

Name: Ben Hoult

Position: Forward

Date of Birth: 01/10/1993

Bio: Unfortunate to pick up an injury early in pre-season, Hoult is a pacey winger with a low center of gravity that enables him to change direction in a flash. There’s no doubt he will force his way back into the side at the earliest opportunity given his natural talent.

Name: Macauley Taylor

Position: Forward

Date of Birth: 27/10/1999

Bio: The young striker has been tipped for big things for a while, and continues to show why every time he takes to the field. A pacey forward with a natural eye for goal, Taylor has a dogged determination to the way he plays that affords him chances that other strikers wouldn’t get. His darting runs stretch the opposition, giving his teammates more space to operate in. There is a feeling around the club that Taylor is one class performance away from breaking out and becoming one of the most lethal forwards in the league.

Name: Jack Hoult

Position: Forward

Date of Birth: 25/08/1995

Bio: This left-footed striker has proved himself to be one of the hardest working players in the side. Pressing from the front is a huge part of his game, and he often creates his own opportunities due to his tireless closing down of opposition defenders. A natural finisher, Hoult thrives off balls in behind and was the club’s top scorer in pre-season.

Name: Kieran Ellis

Position: Forward

Date of Birth: 05/12/1993

Bio: Relying on his strength to hold up the ball and cause probems, Ellis has a tendency to find good positions and finish off chances that come his way. Also an aerial threat, he is often a target from set pieces.
